Dr.-Ing. Felix Heilemann began their work experience in 2010 as a Tutor in practical informatics at the University of Ulm. Dr.-Ing. Felix continued in this role until February 2011, when they became a Tutor for Systems Programming until July 2011. Following this, they worked as a Tutor for practical informatics again from October 2011 to February 2012.
In 2012, Dr.-Ing. Heilemann joined Daimler AG as a Werkstudent, where they developed software for visualizing and analyzing data in the field of traffic light recognition using Matlab. This position lasted from March 2012 to February 2013.
From 2015 to 2020, Dr.-Ing. Heilemann worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Flight Systems (LRT13) at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich. In this role, they were responsible for developing a simulator for unmanned teams and swarms of fighter aircraft. Dr.-Ing. Felix worked in an interdisciplinary team of eight research assistants, participating in agile software development. Dr.-Ing. Heilemann also designed and implemented the software architecture using UML, applied design patterns, and developed user interfaces.
Currently, Dr.-Ing. Heilemann is employed as a Lead Software Engineer at Carmenta.
Dr.-Ing. Felix Heilemann has a diverse educational background. Dr.-Ing. Felix began their education at Robert-Bosch Gymnasium Ulm, where they obtained their Abitur degree in 2008. Following this, they enrolled at Ulm University in 2008, majoring in Informatik, and completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in 2011. Dr.-Ing. Felix continued their studies at Ulm University, pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Informatik, which they successfully obtained in 2014. Dr.-Ing. Heilemann then decided to further expand their knowledge in the field of engineering, specializing in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik. Dr.-Ing. Felix joined Bundeswehr University Munich and is currently working towards earning their Dr.-Ing. degree, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
