Brecht de Roo

Brecht De Roo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in sustainability and environmental management. Brecht is currently an Advisory Board Member at CEO's 4 Climate. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Sustainability, Corporate Affairs and HSE at Carmeuse. Brecht also worked at Agoria as a Manager of Sustainability, Product Compliance, and Innovation, where they supported member companies in transitioning to climate action and circular economy practices. Brecht has also contributed to the field of sustainability through roles at Anheuser-Busch InBev, WBCSD, Cargill, Total, Mondi Belcoat, and VK Engineering.

Brecht De Roo completed their education with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2001 and a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from KU Leuven in 2002. In 2008-2009, they pursued a Master Class in Energy & Climate Management at Antwerp Management School. In 2017, they attended MIT Sloan School of Management for a course in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. From 2016 to 2018, they obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (eMBA) from Antwerp Management School. Apart from their formal education, they have also acquired certifications such as Circular Economy and the 2030 Agenda from the United Nations, and SCRUM - Product Owner and SCRUM - Scrum Master training from Scrum Inc.
