Dave Orschel has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Dave started their career as a System Engineer at CompuCom in 1998. Dave then moved on to Central Connecticut State University, where they served as a Server Administrator and later as the Director of Technical Services. During this time, they managed IT infrastructure, budgeting, staff development, and technology planning initiatives. In 2012, Dave joined Microsoft, where they worked as a Technical Account Manager and an Account Technology Strategist, providing support to education customers and managing complex issues. Dave is currently working as the Director of Information Technology at Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP, overseeing core IT infrastructure and collaborating with stakeholders to define business systems roadmaps.
Dave Orschel earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems, General from Central Connecticut State University from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended the University of Connecticut from 1992 to 1996, majoring in MIS. In addition to their education, Dave has obtained several certifications including Microsoft Operation Framework 4.0 from Microsoft in December 2012, Cisco Certified Network Associate Data Center from Cisco in October 2004, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows 2000 Server (MCSE) from Microsoft in November 2000.
