Janie McDermott

Janie McDermott is a Partner in Business Services and Real Estate at Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP since January 2022. Janie gained valuable experience as a Legal Intern and AT&T Fellow at the Civil Justice Clinic during the Fall of 2014, focusing on juvenile sentencing. Additional legal experience includes a Summer Fellowship at Yale Law School, working in the Landlord Tenant Clinic and Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation Clinic in 2014, and a Summer Legal Internship with the ACLU of Connecticut in 2013. Earlier roles include a Paralegal position at Ebersol & McCormick, LLC, and a Legal Assistant role at Vaughan, Fincher & Sotelo, PC, both of which concentrated on Trusts and Estates. Janie earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Quinnipiac University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from the University of Connecticut.
