Greta Essig currently serves as the Manager of Strategic Initiatives at the University of Washington since June 2022 and has been a Program Assistant for the Carnegie Corporation of New York since December 2014. In this role, Greta administers the Andrew Carnegie Fellows Program, supports the design and launch of initiatives, and reviews grant proposals. Previous experience includes managing strategic planning for the American Museum of LGBTQ History and Culture, office management at CASE, and leadership roles at Whole Foods Market and The World is Fun. Greta holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from NYU and a Bachelor’s degree in German Studies, Fine Art, and Journalism from Stony Brook University.
