Barr von Oehsen

Barr von Oehsen currently serves as Associate Vice President at Carnegie Mellon University's Office of Research Computing and Data and as Director at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, in addition to holding multiple research professor positions at the University of Pittsburgh, including in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Informatics. Barr is also involved as a founding member of the Ecosystem for Research Networking and previously held significant roles at Rutgers University, including Associate Vice President of the Office of Advanced Research Computing. With a solid foundation in cyberinfrastructure from Clemson University, Barr von Oehsen's career is backed by a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Rutgers University, showcasing a strong commitment to advancing research through innovative computing and data science initiatives.
