Eric Ferguson

Eric Ferguson is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in software solutions and cybersecurity, currently serving as a Senior Engineer and IT Acquisition Advisor at Carnegie Mellon University since January 2013. Previously, Ferguson held key positions such as Senior Member of the Technical Staff with the Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer and Executive Officer to the Deputy CIO for C4, where efforts focused on enhancing the operations of a 120-member team. Additional roles include project officer on the SecDef/JCS Mission Efficiencies Team with The Joint Staff and Agency Executive Officer to the DISA Director, overseeing operations for a global team of 15,000. Ferguson also directed cyber operations for the DoD Joint Task Force - Global Network Operations and commanded a Communications Squadron in the U.S. Air Force, delivering critical IT services. Ferguson earned a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Science from Troy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
