Julie Ray

Julie Ray currently serves as a CISO Coach for the CISO Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University, where guidance is provided to current and aspiring CISOs. With extensive experience at United States Steel Corporation since June 2005, Julie Ray holds multiple roles including Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, & Compliance. Key contributions include implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity framework, managing significant IT budgets, and leading various teams in cybersecurity and IT services. Julie Ray also has a strong academic background, having taught IT and business courses at multiple universities, and holds a PhD in Instructional Management and Leadership, alongside master's and bachelor's degrees in Internet Information Systems and Information Systems Management, respectively.
