Zachary Lipton

Zachary Lipton serves as the Raj Reddy Associate Professor of Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University, contributing to the Departments of Machine Learning, Operations Research, Heinz School of Public Policy, and Societal Computing since January 2018. In parallel, Lipton is the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientific Officer at Abridge, where responsibilities include overseeing product delivery and leading the development of tools for clinical documentation. Lipton's academic background includes a PhD and Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics-Economics from Columbia University. Additional experience includes roles as a Visiting Scientist at Amazon AI and significant contributions as a Research Intern at Microsoft.
