Zaid Sheikh

Zaid Sheikh is currently a Senior Research Programmer at Carnegie Mellon University, working on projects involving multi-lingual social media summarization and generation/translation using various NLP techniques and models. Prior to this role, Zaid was a Speech Engineer at Voci Technologies, where Zaid developed a speech analytics and data visualization application. Zaid also has experience as a Research Programmer at Carnegie Mellon University, specifically working on low-resource and zero-resource Spoken Term Detection systems for multiple languages. With a Master of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology, Zaid has a strong background in software engineering.
