Kate Pirilla

Art Handler at Carnegie Museum of Art

Kate Pirilla is an experienced art handler and exhibition technician with a diverse background in art conservation and education. Currently, Kate works at the University of Pittsburgh and multiple art institutions, including The Frick Pittsburgh, the Miller Institute for Contemporary Art, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, and Carnegie Museum of Art. Kate's responsibilities include cleaning, documenting, cataloguing, and packaging artwork while maintaining client relationships. Previous roles include exhibition preparator at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and assistant to the director at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, where Kate contributed to exhibition planning and daily operations. Kate holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Studio Arts and History of Art and Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh.
