Nick Rossman has extensive experience in library management. Nick began their career as the Circulation & Technical Services Manager at Waterloo Public Library in 2008 and held this role until 2019. In 2019, they were promoted to Library Director at the same institution and served in this position until May 2021. In May 2021, they transitioned to a new opportunity as the Library Director at Carnegie-Stout Public Library.
Nick Rossman obtained a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication, General from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from The Futures School's Foundations in Natural Foresight Program in 2022 and from the Kellogg Executive Education's Allstate Foundation Executive Leadership Program in 2021.

Carnegie-Stout Public Library
Collections Carnegie-Stout Public Library serves the Dubuque and surrounding communities with a collection of over 270,000 volumes, 600 periodical and newspaper subscriptions, and a wide variety of audio and video materials. Collections of special note are an obituary file dating to the late 1850s and a newspaper index to the Telegraph Herald and other local newspapers. Special Holdings & Services Other special holdings include an Iowa and genealogical section. A volunteer genealogist is available most Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. to assist patrons. The Youth Services Department places an emphasis on the emerging literacy needs of the youngest children, providing programs and materials for children of all age as well as materials and services to teens. Electronic Services The Library offers electronic informational databases as well as downloadable audio and video. Twenty-seven Internet access computers are available (16 in Adult Services, six in Youth Services, and five in the Teen Zone) as well as 35 laptop computers that can be used with the Library’s wireless network in any part the facility. Mission Statement The mission of the Carnegie-Stout Public Library is to improve the quality of life by providing resources that enhance and contribute to individual enjoyment, enlightenment, and knowledge.
