Joe Scott

Joe Scott serves as the Sr. Director of Fleet Medical Operations at Carnival Corporation since February 2021, following a tenure as Director of Fleet Medical Operations at Carnival Cruise Line. Scott also holds a position with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as an NDMS Medical Officer for the Trauma Critical Care Team South, actively participating in multiple disaster response deployments. Previous experience includes leadership roles at Baptist Health South Florida as Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, overseeing an Emergency Department with a patient volume of 65,000, and serving as Team Medical Director for the FL Advanced Surgical & Transport Team at Florida International University. Early career contributions were made at Jackson Memorial Hospital as Associate Medical Director in the Emergency Department. Joe Scott earned an MD from the University of California, San Francisco, complemented by additional training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
