Ricardo Karakadze

Ricardo Karakadze is an experienced security and intelligence leader with a robust career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Associate Vice President of Global Maritime Security at Carnival Corporation since June 2017, Ricardo oversees security operations for a vast fleet and a large passenger and crew population. Prior to this role, Ricardo was the Executive Assistant Director at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service from April 2009 to June 2017, where strategic planning and resource management were pivotal responsibilities. Ricardo also held the position of Divisional Head at the Office of Naval Intelligence, focusing on countering Weapons of Mass Destruction and Maritime Homeland Defense. Earlier experience includes serving as a Naval Officer and Aviator in the US Navy for 20 years. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from The University of Memphis.
