Fernando Leiva is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human resources and business administration. Currently serving as the Responsable de recursos humanos at Caro Import since March 2022, Fernando previously held the position of Socio gerente at Punto Trap, a distributor of regional sweets and preserves. From March 2012 to June 2021, Fernando worked at Konecta Argentina in various roles including Analista Funcional de Mejora Continua, overseeing project development and process optimization, and Analista de Liquidación de Sueldos, focusing on payroll calculations and organization. Additional roles at Konecta included Analista Experto de Workforce Management and Analista de Workforce Management, where Fernando was responsible for financial reporting and business performance metrics. Caro Import S.L. began its activity in November 1991, in La Garriga, Barcelona (Spain). Devoting itself to the importation and distribution of Argentine food to the European Union. In this sense, the company has been a pioneer in introducing Argentine Foods in Spain, reaching the final consumer, either through delicatessen stores or supermarkets. In 1993, and due to problems with the growing demand for some references, the business was expanded to the industrial manufacture of some items, mainly dulce de leche. At the end of 2000, Caro Import inaugurated its new 1,700 m² headquarters, where it began to produce dulce de leche under the Márdel brand. For this it was necessary to bring machinery and specially qualified personnel. Today, the warehouse has more than 2,000 m² and is constantly improving each of its quality processes. Among its main clients are the more than 1,000 Argentine restaurants installed in Europe, specialized stores, embassies, supermarkets and department stores. Today, the international vocation has taken it beyond the Spanish borders, with clients in Andorra, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Portugal, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Greece.
