Joseph DeDad has over 25 years of work experience in various engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement roles. Joseph is currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Maintenance at Caro Nut since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Continuous Improvement Lead Corporate at Ruiz Foods from December 2020 to February 2022. Joseph also served as the Director of Engineering and Maintenance at World Surf League from September 2018 to November 2020. Before that, they worked as the Engineering and Continuous Improvement Manager at CTI Foods from September 2016 to September 2018. Joseph DeDad has also held positions at POM Wonderful, Kraft Foods, Magnecomp Precision Technology PCL., Sumitomo Corporation, The Toro Company, and General Dynamics NASSCO, where they gained valuable experience in equipment engineering, process development, electromechanical engineering, and industrial maintenance.
Joseph DeDad obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Science Technology from Almeda University, starting in 2003 and finishing in 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Almeda University, from 2002 to 2004. In the same period of 2002 to 2004, they also attended MiraCosta College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Computer Information Science with a focus on Network Administration in Windows and Unix systems. Their earliest educational background includes earning an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Manufacturing Automated Equipment Technology from San Diego City College, between 1993 and 1996.
Additionally, Joseph DeDad has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Joseph became a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt through Kraft Foods in August 2012, and obtained the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in May 2012. In December 2011, they completed the Change Management program offered by Prosci. Prior to these certifications, they achieved the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Kraft Foods in June 2010.
