Dana K. serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Carolina Caring since January 2020, overseeing operations for a nonprofit provider of hospice, palliative care, and home-based primary care, managing a revenue of $38 million and a workforce of over 350 employees. Prior roles include Interim CEO at Carolina Caring, where strategic leadership was provided during a transitional period, and Senior Vice President of Strategic Development & Community Engagement, responsible for marketing, branding, and community engagement initiatives. Previous experience includes a tenure as Vice President at Duke LifePoint, focusing on strategy and value-based initiatives, and various leadership positions within Tenet Healthcare, where Dana K. managed business development and integrated care networks. Academic credentials include an MBA with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Gardner-Webb University and certification in Plant Based Nutrition from eCornell.

Carolina Caring was founded in 1979 by volunteers dedicated to providing end of life care for both patients and families residing in Catawba County, North Carolina and its surrounding counties. Today, our team of professionals and volunteers serves more than 300 hospice patients. Our Mission is to provide world class, compassionate care by engaging all individuals and their families to enhance living. A comprehensive program of medical care, counseling, and spiritual support for patients and families is offered regardless of diagnosis, age, gender, nationality, race, faith, sexual preference, disability, or ability to pay. Carolina Caring is licensed by the state of North Carolina, certified by Medicare and Medicaid, is nationally accredited, and complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy practices.
