Cory Gates

Cory Gates is a seasoned music educator and brass specialist with extensive experience in various roles within the music and education sectors. Currently, Gates serves on the brass staff at Carolina Crown, Inc. and as a marching band instructor at Avon High School Bands, while also providing private tutoring in math and science in the Indianapolis area. Previous positions include operational specialist at Music Travel Consultants and assistant brass supervisor at Legends Performing Arts Association, where Gates focused on developing brass members into skilled musicians and performers. Gates has a background in the food service industry, having worked as a waiter at Bourbon Barrel Beef & Ale and the Tap Room at the Waynesville Inn and Country Club, along with experience as a maintenance technician at Northwest Regional Housing Authority. Gates holds an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Southwestern Community College and was a performer with Carolina Crown from 2011 to 2016, contributing significantly to the leadership team during that time.
