Carolina Crown, Inc.

Our mission is simple… Developing Lifelong Excellence in Young People. We achieve this through performance opportunities and a commitment to education in the performing arts with core values of Integrity, Commitment, Respect, and Excellence. Our primary performance group is the World Champion Carolina Crown drum corps, established in 1990 for students aged 16-21 years. Over 1400 students register to be one of 165 performers that embark on a journey of a lifetime traveling 11,000 miles and performing for hundreds of thousands. CrownLEARNING series of clinics for 500 high school students which include side-by-side interaction with Carolina Crown as well as some of the best educators in the country. BandBEAT marching band championship serves 1500 as 20 high schools converge on the campus of Gardner Webb University to perform before 5000 fans and receive performance input from top clinicians. Two annual spectator events; CrownBEAT in Lexington, SC, and NightBEAT in Winston-Salem, NC, showcase Carolina Crown and 20 of the finest performing ensembles in the world to 15,000 students and marching arts enthusiasts. CrownCARES, the outreach of Carolina Crown, contributes to the overall Crown mission of Developing Lifelong Excellence by engaging members and volunteers in social causes impacting children in underserved communities. We do this by partnering with other credible organizations and amplifying their message through our engaging and entertaining programming, event expertise, loyal volunteer base, and strong social media platform. Our focus includes childhood literacy and meeting the basic needs of underprivileged children in tangible ways. (www.ourcrowncares.org) We operate a music supply business providing below-market priced instruments and accessories to school band programs, and a ticketing operation primarily serving music and performing arts events.
