Gene Howard, MD, MPH, is an experienced Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgeon at Carolina Eyecare Physicians since July 2010, providing specialized care across South Carolina and neighboring states. Simultaneously, Gene holds the position of Physician in Private Practice at Charleston Eyecare Physicians. With a distinguished history at ORBIS International from January 1995 to April 2020, Gene evaluated and operated on complex cases while educating global physicians. Previous roles include Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, and Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Gene's extensive education includes a Doctor of Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.
