Daniel Bochner

Player Development Coach at Carolina Hurricanes

Daniel Bochner is a seasoned hockey professional currently serving as a Player Development Coach for the Carolina Hurricanes since August 2023. Bochner has been involved with Hockey Canada since June 2016 as a Masters Skills Coach and founded Universal Hockey in June 2010, where Daniel serves as CEO. Previously, Bochner held positions with SKA Saint Petersburg Ice Hockey Club as a Player Development Coach and Assistant Coach from July 2018 to June 2025. Additionally, Bochner was the Director of Player Development and Head of Development for the Red Machine National Development Program with the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia from July 2018 to June 2022 and served as an Assistant Coach for the Men's National Team, contributing to the 2021 IIHF World Championship. Bochner also has playing experience as a professional hockey player with Nice Hockey Côte d'Azur in 2007-2008. Currently, Bochner is pursuing a Master's degree in High Performance Coaching & Technical Leadership at The University of British Columbia, expected to complete in June 2025.
