Alison M. Friedman is an accomplished arts leader currently serving as the Executive and Artistic Director of Carolina Performing Arts since October 2021. With extensive experience in the performing arts sector, Friedman has held pivotal roles such as Artistic Director and Acting Executive Director at West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and Executive and Creative Director / Founder of Ping Pong Productions. Friedman's impactful insights have been shared in numerous keynote lectures and panels, including significant conferences in Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Educationally, Friedman holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Brown University and participated in the National Committee on US-China Relations Public Intellectuals Program. Additional early career experiences include managing productions and properties at prominent institutions, including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and China Radio International.
