Amanda Sorrells

Amanda Sorrells has extensive work experience in various roles. Amanda currently serves as the Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships at Carolina Small Business Development Fund. Prior to this, they worked as the CHW Program Manager at The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, Amanda held the position of Director of Entrepreneurship at the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center from 2012 to 2017. Amanda'sresponsibilities included assisting entrepreneurs with business planning, connecting clients with resources, and evaluating loan applications. Amanda began their career as an Assistant Director at Ashe Health Services, Inc. from 2008 to 2011.

Amanda Sorrells completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Later, from 2010 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Western Carolina University.
