Carrie Hinnant has a diverse work experience in the fields of therapy, administration, and childcare. Carrie started their career in 2009 at Carolina Speech and Language Center, where they worked as a speech therapy camp coach and later as an administrative assistant. Carrie also gained experience as an administrative assistant at A Chosen Child Adoption Services from 2010 to 2012. In 2010, they began working as a Line Therapist at South Carolina Early Autism Project, providing therapy to children with autism. From 2013 to 2016, Carrie worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Therapy Works 4 Kids, specializing in speech-language disorders. Carrie then joined Restore Healthcare Medical Group as a Speech Language Pathologist in 2016, where they provided therapy to pediatric patients. In 2014, they assumed the role of Executive Director at Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC.
Carrie Hinnant earned a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist from South Carolina State University in 2013. Their undergraduate studies were completed at the College of Charleston, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology in 2009. Carrie's education started at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, where they earned a High School Diploma in Voice and Opera in 2005. Additionally, they hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) acquired in December 2014. Carrie also has a certification as a Certified Autism Specialist, granted by IBCCES (International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards).
