Natalie John Merrels

Natalie John Merrels, PharmD, BCPS has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmacy. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Pharmacy Technician II at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta until 2011 when they transitioned into the role of a Student Pharmacist until 2015. In 2015, Natalie joined New Hanover Regional Medical Center as a Pharmacist I and also served as a Pharmacy Practice Resident until 2016. Natalie then became a Pharmacist II at the same organization. Since 2016, Natalie has been working at CarolinaEast Health System, where they started as a Pharmacist and then was promoted to Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. Currently, they hold the role of Lead Clinical Pharmacist.

Natalie John Merrels, PharmD, BCPS completed their education chronologically as follows:

- From 2011 to 2015, they attended Mercer University - College of Pharmacy, where they obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree with a focus on Pharmacy.

- Prior to that, they studied from 2007 to 2009 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology.

- Earlier, from 2003 to 2007, Natalie attended Queens University of Charlotte, where they achieved a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry.

In addition to their educational achievements, Natalie further enhanced their qualifications through certifications. In 2018, they obtained the Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist designation from the BPS - Board of Pharmacy Specialties. Furthermore, they also hold an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, although the specific dates of obtaining this certification are not provided.
