Alicia Barnes

Alicia Barnes, MBA, is an accomplished TV news anchor with extensive experience in broadcast journalism. Currently serving as a TV News Anchor at Carolinas' Own Queen City News, WJZY-TV since August 2021, Alicia previously held the position of Evening Anchor at WIS-TV from May 2019 to August 2021. Earlier in their career, Alicia was the Primary News Anchor for ABC Columbia (WOLO) from May 2008 to April 2018 and worked as a Weekend Anchor at NBC 7 San Diego from December 2005 to December 2006. Alicia began their journalism career as a General Assignment Reporter at 11Alive from April 2003 to December 2005. Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Clemson University and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Wayne State University.
