Nora Himmel

Nora Himmel is an experienced education professional currently serving as a College Counselor at Acalanes Union High School District and as the College Counseling Program Coordinator at Carondelet High School since August 2023. Previously, Nora held the position of School Librarian at Acalanes Union High School District during the transition back to in-person attendance in 2021 and served as a School Counselor at Contra Costa School of Performing Arts from July 2017 to October 2018. Additional experience includes a School Counseling Internship at Berkeley Unified School District and Clayton Valley Charter High School, where responsibilities included managing 7th-grade student caseloads, leading group sessions on social and emotional development, and assisting in implementing restorative justice practices. Nora's educational background includes a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Saint Mary's College of California and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Theology from Boston College.
