Cristian Ricardo Carrasco Orellana

Cristian Ricardo Carrasco Orellana, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Development Engineer at Empresas Carozzi S.A. since January 2019, focusing on R&D and innovation. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Universidad de Talca from July 2017 to December 2018, engaging in research related to plant physiology, molecular biology, functional analysis, genomics, and structural bioinformatics. Cristian obtained a Doctorate in Sciences with a specialization in Plant Genetic Engineering from Universidad de Talca between 2013 and 2018, and completed an internship in Plant Genetics at The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research in 2017. Cristian also holds a degree in Bioinformatics from Universidad de Talca, acquired from 2006 to 2012, and completed secondary education at Liceo Manuel Barros Borgoño from 2000 to 2003.
