Victor Moreira

Victor Moreira joined Carpe Data as VP of Technology in 2018. Victor is a seasoned leader in the technology industry, with focus on growing data-centric startups. Prior to Carpe Data, Victor was part of the NozaSearch team, a local startup that created the world's biggest database of philanthropic data. Nozasearch was acquired in 2010 by Blackbaud CRM (NASDAQ: BLKB). On the heels of acquisition, Victor co-founded HG Data, another Santa Barbara startup. HG Data maps the connections between business: Who buys from whom, and who buys what. As the CTO, he led the technology development and product creation. HG Data grew along the big data revolution and disrupted the market, reaching 80 employees with engineers in 3 countries. Victor holds a BS degree in Computer Engineering from UCSB and is proud to be a mentor in multiple UCSB technical programs, including Capstone and TMP. Victor loves tech and is always researching the next breakthrough. You will never find Victor without The Penny, his loyal sidekick puppy.
