Ramesh Rao

Ramesh Rao is an accomplished metallurgist with extensive experience in product development and quality management across various companies. Currently serving as Principal Metallurgist at Carpenter Technology Corporation since August 2022, Ramesh is responsible for new product development and ensuring production quality. Previously, Ramesh held the position of Principal Metallurgist at SOFEC, Inc. from May 2018 to May 2022, and served as Sr. Metallurgist at Dril-Quip Inc. from August 2014 to May 2018. Ramesh also contributed as Chief Metallurgist & Program Manager and Manager of Process & Materials Engineering at AFGlobal Corporation from January 2007 to August 2014. Academic background includes a Master’s degree in Process Metallurgy from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, completed between 1983 and 1986, and research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama from January 2004 to December 2006.
