Jim Carr

Jim Carr has been in the aerospace industry for over 30 years. Jim began their career in 1991 as President & CEO of Carr Astronautics Corporation. In 2018, they joined Mayday.ai as a Scientific Advisor in Atmospheric Remote Sensing.

Jim Carr obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics and Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University between 1974 and 1978. Jim then proceeded to Georgetown University, where they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics between 1980 and 1983. Subsequently, Jim Carr obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Maryland between 1983 and 1987. Finally, they earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Political Management from The George Washington University between 2001 and 2006.
