Stephen Nelson has a diverse and extensive work experience. Stephen began their career as a Marketing Communications Exec and Manager at ITNET UK Ltd in 2002, where they focused on segmenting the local government team and managing a strategic marketing program. Stephen then worked at BDO LLP from 2005 to 2010, initially as a Marketing Communications Manager and later as a Sales & Client Service Manager. At BDO LLP, they were responsible for brand profile growth, marketing strategy, and key account management. Nelson then joined DWF LLP as a Senior Marketing Manager, Insurance from 2010 to 2014. Following that, they worked on fixed-term projects at Celtic Football Club and Manchester City Football Club, focusing on fan engagement and global fan base growth strategies. Nelson's next role was as Head of Client Strategy at Goodform, where they played a key role in helping clients improve fan experiences and utilize marketing databases effectively. Currently, Nelson is the Head of Marketing at Carr Golf since 2018, where they develop commercial strategies and manages a data-driven team responsible for sales and marketing activities.
Stephen Nelson completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Football Industries from the University of Liverpool from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Business Studies from Birmingham City University, earning a 2:1 from 1997 to 2001.
