John Schissel

John Schissel serves as Carr Properties’ President and is a member of our Board of Directors. In this role, he oversees the Company’s Financial, Human Resource, Operations, Technology, Brand and Hospitality functions. John has over 30 years of experience collectively in the capital markets and as an executive for both public and private real estate company platforms. In addition to his experience at Carr Properties, John served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Invitation Homes, the nation’s largest owner and operator of single-family rental homes. Prior to Invitation Homes, John served as EVP and CFO of BRE Properties, a NYSE listed, West Coast apartment REIT. John’s career experience also includes serving in Wachovia Securities’ Real Estate Investment Banking Group. John received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Georgetown University.
