Sheila O'Mahony

Sheila O'Mahony has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Sheila began their career in 2004 as a Clinical Research Associate at Sanofi. In 2006, they moved to Amgen as a Senior Clinical Research Associate. From 2008 to 2009, they worked at Elan Corporation in three different roles: Associate Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Program Manager, and Clinical Trial Manager. During this time, they also held a position as Clinical Program Manager at Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy. In 2015, they started their own consultancy, Sheila O'Mahony Consulting, providing clinical trial consultancy services. In 2016, they became Director of Clinical Operations at Akebia Therapeutics. Most recently, in 2018, they were appointed Vice President of Operations Management at Carrick Therapeutics.

Sheila O'Mahony holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Galway.
