Hakan Yilmaz is Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer for Carrier. In this role, he drives Carrier’s technology strategy and transformation, with a focus on accelerating digital and electrification offerings while supporting the company’s bold 2030 ESG goals. Hakan oversees a global network of more than 4,400 engineers and works across the organization to bring technology and business models together.
Hakan joined Carrier in 2022 with more than 20 years of experience leading global engineering, technology and strategy organizations in Automotive and Aerospace industries at Bosch, BorgWarner and Honeywell.
In his last role at Honeywell Aerospace, Hakan served as Chief Technology Officer, responsible for global engineering and technology teams, leading the company’s advanced technology strategy and road-mapping for the businesses, while also driving key transformations to break-through technology development, customer-focused innovation and optimized operations.
Hakan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi, Ankara, Turkey and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and management from the University of Michigan.
