Yang Yan

Yang Yan is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in control systems, currently serving as a Staff Control Systems Engineer at Carrier HVAC since July 2019. In this role, Yang Yan collaborates with global teams to implement model-based design and rapid control prototyping for innovative HVAC/R control solutions. Prior to this position, Yang Yan worked as a Control System Engineer at the University of Notre Dame from August 2014 to May 2019, focusing on the design of engineering systems using numerical methods and optimization. Yang Yan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a Master’s Degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Measurement & Control Technology and Instrument, both from Shandong University.
