David Sunderland

David Sunderland has a diverse range of work experience dating back to 1989. David started their career at Omya as a Project Engineer/Plant Engineer and worked there until 2007. David then joined Ellison Surface Technologies, Inc. as a Plant Manager for two years. In 2009, they transitioned to Green Mountain Coffee Roasters where they held the position of Plant Engineering Manager/Engineering Program Manager for five years. In 2014, David became an Operations Manager at ISOVOLTA Group before moving on to Carris Reels, Inc. in 2015. At Carris Reels, they progressed through various roles, including Plant Manager, Director of Plywood Operations, and currently serves as the Vice President - Manufacturing. Additionally, David has had political involvement as a State Representative for Rutland Town in the Vermont Legislature from 2003 to 2007, where they also served as Assistant Minority Leader in the House of Representatives.

David Sunderland received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1989. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Industrial Technology from Keene State College between 1983 and 1985. Additionally, David has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
