Shaleen Patel

Shaleen Patel is the Vice President of Corporate Development & Finance at Carrizo Oil & Gas. Shaleen has over fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry.

Shaleen started their career as an Analyst in Financial Services Advisory at Ernst & Young. Shaleen then moved to RBC Capital Markets where they worked as an Associate in Energy Investment Banking. In 2010, they joined Carrizo Oil & Gas as the Vice President of Corporate Development & Finance.

In their current role, Shaleen is responsible for leading the company’s capital markets activities, including equity and debt financings, as well as advising on mergers and acquisitions. Shaleen has played a key role in Carrizo’s growth strategy, helping to finance and close several major acquisitions.

Shaleen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Shaleen Patel has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The Wharton School, a BBA in Finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business, and a degree from Università Bocconi.

Shaleen Patel reports to S.P. Johnson, CEO & President. They are on a team with Rex Bigler - Vice President of Production Operations, Chris Delange - Vice President and Treasurer, and Greg Conaway - Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer.
