Robert Burk

Robert Burk serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Carroll County Public Schools since March 2022, following a lengthy tenure as Comptroller for Carroll County MD from August 1998 to March 2022, where oversight included managing a $3.4 million budget and a team of 34 staff members. Earlier experience includes progressively responsible roles within the Bureau of Accounting, where Robert Burk was involved in financial system administration and project management for an accounting software upgrade. Prior to these roles, Robert Burk worked as an Accountant at Sturgill & Associates LLP, focusing on tax return preparation, financial statement preparation, and audits. Robert Burk holds a B.S. in Accounting from Juniata College and a Maryland Diploma from Westminster High School.
