Yolanda Alsides possesses extensive experience in blood donation coordination within esteemed organizations. Currently serving as a Consultant at Carter BloodCare since July 2019, Yolanda focuses on enhancing blood drive effectiveness. Prior to this role, Yolanda held various positions at the American Red Cross from August 2003 to April 2019, culminating in the role of AP&S Scheduling Manager. Responsibilities included meticulous planning of mobile blood drives, creation of staff schedules across multiple states, and the management of the Biomedical Diversity Initiatives Program. Additional roles involved serving as a Scheduling Supervisor, where Yolanda oversaw staff scheduling, facilitated communication between departments, and trained personnel. Yolanda's commitment to community engagement, particularly with the Latino community through partnerships with local organizations, underscores a strong dedication to the mission of saving lives through blood donation.

Carter BloodCare is an independent, community blood center providing transfusion resources to more than 200 medical facilities in 50-plus counties of North, Central and East Texas. The nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization is one of the largest blood programs in Texas, delivering more than 440,000 blood products annually to meet hospitals’ requirements for their patients. Services include collection, processing, specialized laboratory testing, storage and distribution of blood and blood products.
