Clewert Sylvester, MD, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Health & Wellness Initiatives at Carter Burden Network while also conducting community-based research focused on geriatric populations. In addition to this role, Clewert Sylvester is a Site Coordinator and Preceptor for the City University of New York's Spring Forward and Career Launch Programs, as well as the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons' Occupational Therapy Program. With extensive teaching experience as a Senior Adjunct Professor at St. Francis College, Clewert Sylvester also contributes as a Copy Editor for Africanah.org. Formerly, Clewert Sylvester held positions such as Director of Research and Evaluation at START - Treatment and Recovery Centers and Psychiatrist at Montefiore Medical Center. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a Psychiatry residency from New York Medical College, and a Certificate in Bioethics from the Einstein - Cardozo Bioethics Graduate Program.
