Rev. Mark Holland, PhD, LCMHCS has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Director of Health Ministry | Chaplaincy at Carteret Health Care, where they provide spiritual support to patients, their loved ones, and healthcare providers. Rev. Mark is responsible for addressing spiritual needs, offering guidance, and connecting individuals with spiritual care resources.

In 1994, Rev. Holland founded GuardianONE: Behavioral Health Solutions for Emergency Responders, where they served as the Behavioral Health Officer, Founder, and Chief Executive Officer. This organization focuses on providing behavioral health support to emergency responders.

Rev. Mark joined Liberty University in 2006 as an Associate Professor, where they have been actively involved in education, particularly in the field of mental health counseling.

Rev. Mark Holland, PhD, LCMHCS has a comprehensive education history in counseling. Rev. Mark obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counseling and a Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling from Liberty University. In addition, they hold a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree in Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Rev. Mark Holland has also acquired various certifications throughout their career. Rev. Mark is endorsed as a chaplain by the Southern Baptist Convention. Furthermore, they are licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor by The North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors. Rev. Mark has also obtained the qualification of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor from the same board. Additionally, Rev. Holland has been ordained as a minister by the Raleigh Baptist Association.

Outside of their counseling qualifications, Rev. Mark Holland has a background in emergency medical services. Rev. Mark is certified as a Paramedic by the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services. Moreover, they held the position of Paramedic Instructor | Level II, which they have since retired from, within the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services.
