Tonya Fluellen has held various roles in the healthcare industry. Tonya started their career at Carteret General Hospital in 2007, where they served as an Assistant VP of Patient Care Services until 2010. Tonya then took on the position of Director of Regulatory & Service Excellence at the same hospital. In 2017, they joined Carteret Health Care as the Director of Patient Experience, specifically in the Critical and Progressive Care department.
Tonya Fluellen attended the University of Cincinnati from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a focus on Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they studied at East Carolina University and obtained a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in the field of Nursing Education.
