Antonio Cortés has over 25 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Antonio began their career in 1995 as a Developer at C.F.A., where they developed a new CRM and accounting software from a AS/400 (DB2) to a Windows NT Server and SQL Server, as well as a point of sale app (Clipper xBase) and a Remote Access Service. In 1997, they moved to Seresco as a Técnico de Sistemas, where they worked with various operating systems and computer languages. From 2000 to 2009, they worked at BT as an S.I., where they tested and deployed new services, evaluated new technologies, and created made-to-order solutions. Antonio then worked at F10 Informática from 2009 to 2009 as the CTO, where they developed an e-commerce site with an automated catalogue. From 2009 to 2016, they worked at The PresLab as an IT y Nuevos Medios, where they created custom websites, mobile apps, PR solutions, and Facebook apps. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at OpenSistemas as a DevOps Manager. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Difundi as a DevOps Consultant. Currently, they are employed at CARTO as a Principal Software Engineer.

Antonio Cortés has a Grado in Económicas from UNED, which they have been studying since 2009. Prior to this, they studied Informatica de Gestión at I.F.P. San Clemente from 1994 to 1995. Antonio also holds four certifications from Red Hat, obtained in March 2017, including Delivery Specialist - Automated SAP HANA System Replication with Pacemaker, Automation with Ansible by Red Hat, Cloud Management, and Platform.
