Cayetano Benavent Viñuales

Cayetano Benavent Viñuales has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Responsable del Área de Estudios e Información Ambiental for ITSMO 94, S.L. and a Consultor externo for TIBA. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Profesor de Evaluación Ambiental de Planes y Programas for the Confederación de Empresarios de Andalucía (CEA). From 2011 to 2014, they were a Profesor de Sistemas de Información Geográfica for the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI). During this same time, they were also a GIS Trainer for the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the Universidad de Sevilla. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Python Trainer for the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas and from 2013 to 2019, they were the Head of Data for Geographica and the Head of Data - Professional Services for CARTO.

Cayetano Benavent Viñuales obtained a Master in Geography from the Universidad de Sevilla between 1998 and 2002. Cayetano then went on to complete a Master in Geographic Information Systems at the Instituto Cibernos from 2002 to 2003. Lastly, they obtained an Especialist in Environmental Management from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2009. Additionally, Cayetano has obtained several certifications, including Databricks Lakehouse Platform Essentials from Databricks in 2022, Statistical Thinking for Data Science and Analytics from edX in 2017, Computing for Data Analysis from Coursera in 2013, Maps and the Geospatial Revolution from Coursera in 2013, and Intro to Computer Science from Udacity in 2013.
