Darío Delgado has over 10 years of work experience. In 2020, they began working as a Project Manager for CARTO. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as a Senior GIS Consultant and GIS Consultant for Arcadis. In 2013, they worked as a Técnico de campo for RSPB in the Forsinard Flows national reserve, performing forestry work, hydrological management, and studies on bogs during the winter, and conducting bird censuses, waterfowl and raptor reproduction studies, flora studies, and predator tracking in the spring. In 2012, they worked as an Ingeniero de Montes for both Profesional Independiente and ELIMCO SISTEMAS S.L., where they performed GIS analysis, generated interoperable services, and published maps online. Darío also participated in the "Guía Multimedia de los Parques Nacionales de España" project for the Instituto Geográfico Nacional and the Centro Nacional de Información Geográfica. In 2011, they worked as an Ingeniero de Montes as a colaborador externo for ATF Medio Ambiente, and as an Ingeniero de Montes for Agroforestales SL. In 2010, they worked as a Técnico de vigilancia ambiental en parques eólicos for Arcosur Atlántico SL, and in 2009 they worked as a Técnico de campo for Fundación Migres.
Darío Delgado obtained their Máster in Sistemas de Información Geográfica from Universidad de Sevilla in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their Ingeniero de Montes from Universidad de Córdoba in 2009, from Czech University of Life Sciences Prague in 2008, and from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 2006. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Scrum.org, Lantra Awards, and Centro de Migración de Aves. Sociedad Española de Ornitología, including a Professional Scrum Product Owner I certification in October 2021, a Conducción 4x4 Off-road (Profesional) certification in May 2013, and an Anillador científico de aves con categoría de Experto certification in December 2009.
