Javier Villar Fernández

Javier Villar Fernández has been working in the IT industry since 2006. Javier began their career at Optenet as a Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for Optenet Security Solutions deployment, integration, and support. Javier was also an expert with national and international customers, and a trainer in Optenet Solutions training program for Pymes and Partners. In 2011, they moved to Tuenti as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for managing a huge and complex server farm, network management, and finding and solving problems. In 2013, they joined NOLOGIN as a Senior System Engineer, where they managed Linux and Solaris farms, and was responsible for RHEV (Redhat Virtualization) management. In 2015, they began working at Velocix as a NOC Engineer, where they worked with complex CDN deployments for broadband operators across Europe, and was responsible for troubleshooting CDN related problems. Javier also joined CARTO in 2015, where they held the roles of SRE Tech Lead, SRE Principal, and SRE (Site Reliability Engineer).

Javier Villar Fernández obtained an Ingeniero superior en Informática degree from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca between 2000 and 2006.
