Mario M. García Álvarez

Mario M. García Álvarez has a wealth of work experience in the fields of project management, IT, GIS, and banking. Starting in 2019, they have been a Project Manager - PMP® at both CARTO and Geographica. In 2018, they were a Jefe de proyecto - PMP® at Soologic, where they managed IT projects such as systems of geographic information, the aeronautical sector, defense sector, environmental sector, and outsourcing. From 2005-2018, they were the Responsable de Área SI and Jefe de proyectos GIS at ELIMCO SISTEMAS S.L., where they coordinated and monitored projects and procedures, developed business nationally and internationally, managed customer relations, and managed budgets. From 2004-2005, they were a Técnico GIS at EMASESA Metropolitana, where they used Smallworld GIS, updated and maintained cartography, and worked in the field to compare cartographic information. From 2000-2003, they were an Administrativo Caja / Banca at BBVA, where they managed teller activities, receipts, taxes, and cashing. Lastly, from 2003-2004, they were a Cartógrafo at Universidad de Sevilla, where they digitized cartographic information, created and composed thematic maps, and used GIS tools.

Mario M. García Álvarez has an extensive educational history. In 1999, they obtained a Licenciado en Geografía from Universidad de Sevilla, with a field of study in Sistemas de Información Geográfica. In 2003-2004, they completed a Master en Sistemas de Información Geográfica from Instituto Cibernos. Mario M. also obtained a Curso Superior en Dirección de Proyecto (Metodología PMI) from Escuela de Organización Industrial in 2013. In the same year, they completed a Curso de Preparación para el Examen Project Management Professional (PMP®) from Escuela de Project Managenment (EDPM). In 2014, they completed a PMI Ágil como base a SCRUM y KANBAN from ETICOM. In 2016, they completed a Finanzas para no financieros from Miriadax, a Habilidades y competencias a través del coaching personal from MiriadaX, an Introducción al Business Intelligence y al Big Data from MiriadaX, and an Innotools: Transforma tu idea de negocio from MiriadaX. In 2017, they completed an Agilidad y Lean. Gestionando los proyectos y negocios del s. XXI from Universidad Miriadax, an Evaluación de Impacto Ambiental de la Planificación Urbanística from CE (Confederación de Empresarios de Andalucía), and a Eficacia Comercial: Técnicas de Venta from Confederación de Empresarios de Andalucía. In 2011, they completed a Curso Oficial de Dirección de proyectos orientado a la certificación PMI from ETICOM, and in 2009 they completed a Curso de especialización en gestión de proyectos GIS from Fundació Universitat de Girona Innovació / Formació.
