Pedro de Albuquerque has had a long and varied career in design. Pedro began their career in 2001 as a Web Designer for NEORIS, where they were responsible for publishing official documents and implementing visual assets for Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency. In 2002, they moved to CYBIZ as a Web Designer, where they helped shape the user experience and user interface guidelines for their main product. From 2004 to 2007, they worked at Agência Click as a Digital Art Director, helping to elevate Embratur's digital presence and creating icons, images, and campaigns for Caixa Economica Federal. In 2007, they joined DOT Digital Group as a Visual Designer, where they created campaign ad banners and icons, and designed and planned hotsites, landing pages, and campaigns for Caixa Seguradora. In 2011, Pedro moved to Vivo (Telefônica Brasil) as a User Experience Designer and Senior Visual Designer, where they were a primary contributor for an innovation team and worked on the Connected Water Container Project and Linked Urban Project. Pedro also worked for Pepper Interativa as a Senior Visual Designer, ActualSales as a Senior Digital Art Director, and Telefónica Tech as a Global Design Lead. In 2018, they joined BBVA as a Senior Design Manager and Product Design Lead & Design Manager, and in 2022 they will become a Design Lead at CARTO.

Pedro de Albuquerque has a diverse educational background. In 2021, they completed a short course in Data Driven Design at INSTITUTO TRAMONTANA. In 2019, they completed a short course in Behavioral Economics Fundamentals at Campus BBVA. Pedro also completed a short course in Growth Hacking and Growth Marketing at Growth Hacking Course in 2018. Additionally, they completed a short course in Service Design & Facilitation: Discovery, Ideation, Prototyping and Facilitation at in-mocion in 2018. Pedro also completed a short course in Meaningfull Comunication at LA NAVE NODRIZA in 2017. In 2015, they completed a Workshop in Service Design Executive at h2i institute. In 2013, they attended Strategic Design at Escola Panamericana de Arte e Design. In 2011, they attended Web development: HTML, CSS and Javascript at Caelum. From 2001 to 2005, they obtained a Bachelor in Advertising, Social Communications at IESB. In 1993, they completed an Advanced English course at Wizard by Pearson. In 2000, they completed a Basic Spanish course at Universidade de Brasília. In 1999, they obtained an English Fluency certificate at Trinity College London. Pedro also holds additional certifications from The Interaction Design Foundation, Instituto Cervantes, Paul Shaw, and Universidade de Brasília.
