Stephen Carey

Stephen Carey has a diverse work experience in data intelligence and management. Stephen is currently working at CarTrawler as the Head of Data Intelligence, where they lead the technical and data architecture, design, and implementation of ETL for handling Big Data. Stephen also guides the Data Engineering team in developing solutions that support the business needs and drive value.

Prior to CarTrawler, Stephen worked at SkillPages as a Data Warehouse & ETL Senior Professional, where they played a key role in driving the data architecture vision to meet the analytic demands of a growing social platform. Stephen was responsible for designing and launching new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

Stephen also has experience at Distinct Business Intelligence, where they worked as a Senior BI Manager and BI Manager. In these roles, they were involved in various projects related to ETL, data quality, analysis, and customer and business intelligence solution design and implementation.

Earlier in their career, Stephen worked at Distinct as a Senior Business Consultant, building relationships with clients in the financial sector and leading data migration and data model projects in SAS.

Stephen also gained experience at UCD Smurfit School of Business as a Project Support in the Information Learning Technology Group.

Stephen's early career included working at Skillsoft as a Senior Software Developer, where they focused on client and server-side development for e-commerce and enterprise-wide applications using the J2EE platform.
